For centuries, olive oil has been recognized for its many virtues. Now, a new scientific study conducted by Harvard University reveals even more surprising properties. Let’s take a closer look at this discovery, which could revolutionize our approach to health.

A benefit for heart health

For centuries, olive oil has been recognized for its heart-healthy properties. Extracted from the fruit of the olive tree, it is rich in monounsaturated fats and antioxidants, which play a key role in protecting the cardiovascular system. Studies have shown that regular consumption reduces the risk of heart disease, improves blood circulation and helps maintain healthy arteries. Experts particularly recommend extra virgin olive oil, which retains all its nutritional and antioxidant properties. In addition to its beneficial effect on the arteries, it promotes optimal heart function, thus reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Protection for the brain

A study conducted by Harvard University has revealed that olive oil not only protects the heart, but also the brain. After 28 years of research involving over 92,000 participants, researchers found that regular consumption of olive oil reduced the risk of death from neurodegenerative disorders such as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. This study shows that a modest amount of around 7 g of olive oil a day (equivalent to half a tablespoon) can have direct protective effects on the brain. In addition to its anti-inflammatory effects, it helps prevent the aging of brain cells and maintain a good memory, thus reducing the risks associated with neurodegenerative disorders.

Include olive oil in your daily diet

As well as being a delicious and versatile food in the kitchen, olive oil plays a fundamental role in protecting our heart and brain. This study confirms that including this precious oil in our daily diet can have far-reaching benefits.
So, to preserve your long-term health, don’t forget to put a little olive oil on your plate every day. Choose extra-virgin olive oil to maximize its benefits and enjoy the protective effects it offers your body and brain. Taste Olio Sasa olive oil!

Understanding the oil-making process Oil tourism doesn’t stop at the fields. It often includes a visit to the mills where the olives are transformed into oil. This is the perfect opportunity to grasp the subtleties of cold pressing, the technical choices that guarantee quality, and the differences between oils. Tasting, at the heart of this experience, reveals the aromas and richness of the product, often unknown to the general public. A friendly, sensory experience Beyond the technical aspects, olive tourism offers a time for sharing and conviviality. With friends or in small groups, visitors enjoy simple moments: an aperitif in the shade of the olive trees, exchanges about local culture and authentic flavors. These moments slow down the pace, reconnecting visitors with nature and the people who work it. Oleotourism, a return to our roots Discovering olive oil through oleotourism means giving new meaning to an everyday product. It means understanding that each bottle tells a story of passion, respect for the land and tradition.
